ABOUT ME

Kelsey Hathorn, ED.S., CCC-SLP

Hi, I’m Kelsey! I help children, teens, and young adults build their communication and language skills so they can connect and thrive in their local classroom and community.

My background includes over a decade of speech-language pathology experience in private practice and public school settings.

I specialize in helping clients address early speech delays, language challenges, social communication differences, speech sound disorders, executive functioning needs, literacy weaknesses, and more. I’ve supported clients with communication disorders and various additional needs, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, neurological disorders, and intellectual disabilities.

I use a holistic approach to address my clients’ needs — including evidence-based strategies, close partnerships with parents and caregivers, and drawing on my years of experience in speech-language pathology to tailor a personalized approach that supports progress towards goals.

In addition to therapy, I also offer professional development training and consulting services for local schools and organizations that want to better support neurodivergent learners and individuals with communication needs. I provide in-depth training on language development, social communication, executive functioning, and inclusive practices, with a focus on practical strategies that empower educators and providers to make meaningful, everyday impact.

Overall I would describe my style as approachable! I believe that therapy should feel like a safe place where clients can be themselves, have fun, and feel proud of their growth.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll likely find me with a mystery novel in hand, visiting new places, or getting too invested in a new craft.
